About Dave

Dave Logan first became a name in the Denver community while attending Wheat Ridge High School, where his talent on the field afforded him a rare opportunity. In 1972, Dave was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds. However, Dave decided to forgo a career in professional baseball, choosing instead to play football and basketball at the University of Colorado Boulder. Success both on the gridiron and the hardwood had pro leagues once again calling his name four years later. This time, he was drafted in the NBA (Kansas City Kings) and the NFL (Cleveland Browns). Dave Logan and Dave Winfield are the only two athletes in history to be drafted by 3 professional sports leagues.

The lure of the NFL proved to be too much and after hearing his name called in the 3rd round of the draft, Dave became a Cleveland Brown. He played 8 years in Cleveland, where his determination made him a fan favorite, and his results on the field vaulted him into the top 5 of virtually every receiving category in franchise history. In 1984, Dave ended his NFL career in the Mile High City with the Denver Broncos.

Since then, two things have always been dear to Dave’s heart – his passion for football and his love for the Centennial state. Over the past 25 years, he has had the opportunity to combine the two as the radio voice of the Denver Broncos. When he’s not calling Peyton Manning touchdowns on Sundays, Dave can be found on the sidelines of Cherry Creek High School as their head football coach. Dave’s success as a high school coach is unprecedented, not only in Colorado, but also nationally. He is the only high school football coach in history to win championships at 4 different schools. Winning is in Dave’s blood, that’s why it’s no surprise he now resides in 4 different Halls of Fame.
